I took this picture of my daffodils out front last April.
A little earlier today I stepped out on my front porch to pick up a package left by UPS and look what I saw:

Poor things....would you look at how wet and muddy that ground is?! We keep going back and forth between cold and snow and mildish with melted snow. Trust me when I say I am not complaining. This has been my kind of winter but I'll be curious to see how these flowers look by the time their official spring debut rolls around. Nature is fascinating isn't it?
I love daffodils! Most spring bulbs really. Our weather has been unusually warm this winter & it looks like some of the trees & bushes are going to be ready to bud any day now! Blessings, Shirlee
ReplyDeleteWow!! Sprouting up already?! Man, we have the same weather here in Central New York. It's the mildest winter I've ever seen. As much as I love snow, I'm not complaining. ;> )
